What information Maxtech collects, why, and what happens to it.
Maxtech PC Build & Repair is a small local PC service business. This policy is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What information is collected
Information may be collected for:
- Appointments
- Customer communication
- Service records
- Support requests
- Payments
- Website analytics
Depending on what you send, that can include:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Service address
- Computer specifications
- Uploaded photos
- Appointment information
You choose how much to share. Uploads on the booking, consultation and support forms are optional.
How the information is used
Customer information is used to schedule and perform the service you asked for, to reach you about that service, to keep a record of work performed, to handle support requests during a build support period, and to take payment.
Keeping a service record matters for support: if you call two months after a build, having the specifications and the work performed on file is what makes it possible to help quickly.
What is not done with it
Customer information is not sold. It is not rented, traded or handed to marketing companies.
Customer build details are not published with personally identifying information without permission. Build photos and specifications shown on this website never include customer names, addresses, phone numbers or anything else that identifies who owns the system.
If you'd rather your build not appear in the gallery at all, say so and it won't.
Uploaded files
Photos, screenshots and parts lists you upload are used to understand and diagnose your issue. They are kept with the service record and are not published or shared beyond what's needed to do the work.
Payments
Payments made by Zelle, Venmo or card are processed by those services under their own terms and privacy policies. Full card numbers are not stored by Maxtech.
Website analytics and cookies
This website may use basic analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.
Essential browser storage may be used to preserve site preferences. Confirmed appointment and form-submission records are stored by the service provider used to operate this site, not treated as delivered merely because they exist in your browser.
How long information is kept
Service records are kept for as long as they're useful for supporting the work performed and for normal business records. If you'd like your information removed, ask and it will be removed, apart from anything that has to be kept for tax or accounting purposes.
Third parties
Information is shared with a third party only where it's necessary to run the business — for example a payment service processing your payment, or an email or scheduling provider delivering a confirmation. It is not shared for advertising.
Your choices
- Ask what information is on file about you
- Ask for it to be corrected
- Ask for it to be deleted
- Ask that your build not be shown in the gallery
- Ask to stop being contacted
