Warranty policy
What the three-month build labor support covers, and what it doesn't.
Applies to services performed by Maxtech PC Build & Repair.
The short version
Complete custom PC builds include three months of free labor support from the original service date. That covers my work — the assembly and configuration. It is not a warranty on hardware you bought from a retailer; those parts stay under the manufacturer's or retailer's warranty, and I'll help you figure out which part failed.
Three-month labor support on complete builds
Complete custom PC builds performed by Maxtech include three months of free labor support from the original service date. The labor support covers problems reasonably related to the assembly or configuration work performed by Maxtech.
Typical examples of covered issues:
- A component that has come loose or was not seated correctly
- A cable or connector routed or connected incorrectly during the build
- A BIOS or memory-profile setting configured during the build that turns out to be unstable
- A driver or Windows configuration issue arising from the Ready-to-Play setup
- Cooling or fan configuration set during the build that isn't performing as intended
Support usually starts remotely — a phone call, some photos, a few things to check. That resolves a good number of issues the same day. When it doesn't, an on-site visit can be scheduled.
What this is not
The support does not mean Maxtech provides a warranty on hardware purchased from third-party retailers. Hardware failures remain subject to the original manufacturer or retailer warranty.
Maxtech may assist customers with identifying a failed component — that assistance is included during the support period. The replacement part itself, and the RMA process for it, is handled between you and whoever sold you the part.
If a part was specifically provided or sold by Maxtech, separate terms are agreed in writing at the time of sale and those terms apply to that part.
On-site warranty visits
On-site warranty visits may require the flat $20 on-site service fee. The labor itself remains free during the support period. The amount is confirmed with you before the visit is scheduled — nothing is added afterward.
What the warranty does not cover
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Customer modifications
- Accidental damage
- Malware
- Third-party modification
- Overclocking performed by others
- Hardware added after the original service
- Problems unrelated to the original build
If something falls outside the support program, it isn't the end of the road — it just becomes a normal paid service at the standard published prices, and you'll know the cost before I start.
Individual repairs and upgrades
Individual services — RAM replacement, GPU replacement, SSD replacement, CPU replacement, cooler replacement, motherboard replacement, power supply replacement or a case transfer — do not automatically include three months of free labor support.
Maxtech stands behind the workmanship related to the specific repair performed. If something about that specific job wasn't done right, tell me and I'll put it right. The three-month labor-support program applies to complete PC builds. Full detail is in the repair service policy.
